Web Team Meeting - 08/18/04

We are almost there with the redesign... Today was to be the "soft launch" of the indexes and databases redesign. The meeting will consist of a quick introduction of the user side and a how-to session on the admin side. I will have a short handout for everyone. I will continue to tweak the design after the meeting, but the pages will be live in time for First Days.

Lori and Jodi have posted some of their thoughts on the design of the indexes and database pages here on the blog - http://wclwebteam.blogspot.com/. For tomorrow's meeting, I wanted to concentrate on two components of the redesign. Please take a look at the pages at http://www.williams.edu/library/indexes/index.php and gather your thoughts on the following:

1. Ordering of Results - How to display our results?
2. Collection Development Policy - What gets included in the database besides article indexes? What categories will we use to classify these items?
